Introduction:

  • The Advanced Diploma in Hotel Culinary Management (Distance Learning) is designed to provide those Asian and European who are preparing to enter the Hotel and Catering Industry. This programme enables individuals to investigate global, regional and local perspectives on Hotel Culinary Arts Management and to enhance their skills and knowledge with practical kitchen experience.

Remarks:

  • Students need to vacuum-pack their dishes and send to Hong Kong for teachers to assess (details will be provided after admission)
  • Students who completed Year 1 programme will be awarded the Diploma in Hotel Culinary Management.

Year 2

Students will attend classes and take exams in October in Hong Kong.  They need to pay to stay in Hong Kong at their own expense.

Internship (at students’ own countries)
(Jan – June 2024)

Remarks:

  • Students need to self-arrange their internship in F&B industry at their own countries. They need to submit the prospective Internship Provider to the Academy for approval in advance.
  • Students need to vacuum-pack their dishes and send to Hong Kong for teachers to assess (details will be provided after admission)
  • Students who completed Year 2 programme will be awarded the Advanced Diploma in Hotel Culinary Management.

Tuition Fee:

  • Year 1 : HK$41,500
  • Year 2 : HK$41,500
  • Year 2 (Exam Fee in Hong Kong): HK$16,600  

Entry Requirements:

  • Completion of Secondary 6 with IELTS level 4.5; OR

  • Holder of Diploma for Tertiary Studies; OR

  • Equivalent qualifications; AND

  • Pass in admission interview.

Tutors:

  • The school has a team of professional European and American tutors to provide professional training for students.

Award & Assessment:

  • Students will receive an Advanced Diploma in Hotel Culinary Management if they fulfil the below requirements:

  • Achieve 90% attendance or above in each module
  • All modules combined must achieve 50% or above in average (does not include the industrial training)
  • For those who do not meet the English Language Entry Requirement (DSE English Language Level 2 or IELTS level 4.5), they have to attend an IELTS examination and reach level 4.5.

Further Studies:

  • Students can also entry into the final year of a degree programme in University of Derby or University of West London.
